Forum: forums Subject: How to turn off derived audio files?

If I'm looking at an entry for a page I started (hence I'm the person who uploaded the files and I can edit the information regarding this entry), why can't I turn off derived files after they have been made?

Can I turn off derivative files after the derivative files have been made WITHOUT replacing files?

This happened to me when I replaced audio files in an entry ( because the replacement description page offers no chance to tell NOT to make derivative files. I had forgotten not to check the no derivatives box and when I saw the status of that entry get around to "making derivatives files" (or somesuch language), I thought I could head off the processing of derivative files further by ticking the no derivatives box.

When the derivatives makes are as thoroughly tagged as the files I uploaded, I'll reconsider allowing to make derivative files. Until then, I don't want to make or distribute derivative files.

But looking at the non-public page URL I just linked to, it seems clear that has every intention to distribute the derivative files it made. seems to know which files are derivatives and which ones aren't -- why not delete the derivatives if I instruct to not make them?

I am having the exact same problem with one of our releases as well... a long with some other weird bugs that somehow occured. Figured I would just delete the page and start form scratch but now I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Did something change or get moved?
